Terms
Last updated September 23, 2026.
Boda is a wedding marketplace for Utah, run by Pilas Studios LLC (“we”). These terms cover the Boda apps for iPhone and Android and the website at utahboda.com. Using Boda means you accept them. If you do not, do not use it.
What Boda is
Boda is a place to find wedding venues and businesses in Utah, and a place for those businesses to be found. We are not a party to anything you agree with a business you find here. We do not take bookings, hold deposits, or guarantee that a business will turn up, do a good job, or hold the licence or insurance it says it does. Contracts, payments and disputes are between you and them.
Some listings were researched from public sources and belong to businesses that have never signed up. Those say so. We correct facts on the business’s word. If one of them is yours, ask us for it and we will hand it over once we are satisfied you are really the business — there is no button that transfers a listing on its own, because that is how a listing gets taken by somebody it does not belong to.
Accounts
Browsing is free and anonymous. An account is only needed to keep something — a board, a plan, or a listing.
A Boda account is either a wedding-planning account or a business account, chosen when it is made, and it cannot be converted into the other. Listing a business and planning a wedding need two accounts under two email addresses. This is deliberate: the two halves of the marketplace see different things, and one account being both would make that impossible to reason about.
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. You must be 18 or older, or old enough to enter a contract where you live, whichever is higher. Tell us at help@pilastudios.com if you think somebody else is using your account.
What you may not do
There is no tolerance on Boda for objectionable content or for abusive behaviour. Do not post, send or upload anything that:
- pretends to be a business you do not run, or a person you are not;
- is a scam, a fake offer, or an attempt to take somebody’s money or details under false pretences;
- harasses, threatens, defames or abuses somebody, or attacks them for their race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, nationality or gender identity;
- is sexually explicit, or violent, or otherwise obscene;
- is a photograph you do not have the right to use — a listing may only carry the business’s own photography;
- is a review or rating written by anyone other than a real customer, or written to damage a competitor;
- is somebody else’s private information, published without their agreement;
- is spam, or the same message sent to people in bulk;
- breaks the law, or helps somebody else break it.
Do not scrape the catalog, work around the technical limits, try to reach data that is not yours, or use Boda to build a competing list.
Reporting, blocking and what we do about it
Every listing and every conversation carries a report control in the app, and you can also write to help@pilastudios.com. Reports go to us, not to the person reported, and we do not tell them who filed one.
We read every report and act on it as soon as we can, with objectionable content and abusive behaviour first in the queue. What we do depends on what we find: correcting a listing, taking it down, removing an account, or ending a subscription without a refund. Impersonation, scams and abuse get an account removed, not a warning.
You can also block someone. A block closes the conversation from both sides, stops them starting another, and hides their listings from you. It is yours to undo, from Blocked accounts in your settings.
Every new listing is read by a person before it appears in the catalog. We can refuse or remove a listing at any time, and we do not have to explain a decision to somebody we have removed for impersonation or abuse.
What you post stays yours
You keep everything you own in what you upload — your photographs, your words, your business’s name. By putting it on a Boda listing, you give us permission to show it, resize it and cache it so that Boda can display it on the apps, the website, and in the search engines and social previews that link to your listing. That permission ends when you delete the content, apart from copies in backups and caches that age out on their own.
You are telling us you have the right to post what you post. If a photograph is not yours to use, do not upload it.
Business accounts and subscriptions
A business can list on Boda for free. A free listing carries up to ten photographs and does not include enquiries or the analytics on views and saves. A Boda Pro subscription adds those, and its price depends on the category the business lists in.
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the billing page of your dashboard on utahboda.com; the subscription then runs to the end of the period already paid for and stops. We do not pro-rate a part month. If we change the price, we will tell you before it takes effect and you can cancel.
A business must list itself honestly — the right name, the right category, and services it actually offers. A listing in a category chosen to pay less is a listing we will move or remove.
Ending it
You can delete your account yourself at any time: on the website from your account settings, or in the app under Profile. Everything you made goes with it — a business account takes its listing, its photographs and its video, and cancels its subscription on the way. If anything goes wrong, write to help@pilastudios.com and we will finish it by hand. We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms. Messages you sent stay legible to the person you sent them to, because a conversation belongs to both people in it, and reports stay on file.
Boda is provided as it is
We work to keep Boda accurate and available, and we do not promise either. Listing facts may be out of date; a business may close; something may break. To the extent the law allows, Boda is provided without warranties, and we are not liable for what happens between you and a business you found here, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
If we change these terms we will change the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change actually matters. Carrying on using Boda after that is how you accept the new version.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Utah, and the courts of Utah are where a dispute about them is heard.
